It is not a black widow black widows have a red marking on the belly ~ and spiders are rather shy ...really lol

Well, I read somewhere that a person swallows eight spiders asleep throughout the life. I guess spiders just looking for humidity ... (buahaha I like to be evil)

You're welcome. Yes Spiders like most animals are very shy. The fact that they sit or stand still as you approach is a defence mechanism. They feel that if they are perfectly still you will not see them. Frogs are very much like that. BTW, spiders, lizards, snakes and most reptiles cannot be trained to be affectionate. They will learn to tolerate your presence but that is about it. Most cold blooded animals fall in that category.
