Description
There's a number of couples I've always been fascinated by over the years. Storm and Sauron is certainly one of them, Namor and Sue is another. Namor being infatuated by "Sue's beauty" and wanting to make her his bride is something that's also been played out by many Mummy movies over the years and I guess is a nice twist to the original damsel in distress.

In Fantastic Four Vol 1 004 (1962) Namor meets Sue for the first time and makes his intentions clear.. I love the peril cover and the few panels inside. Unfortunately as in many instances the cover kind of oversold the panels inside the issue.

3 years later in 1964 Namor Returns and kidnaps Sue to Atlantis where he holds her captive:

In 2010 I used their story as inspiration for this commission of Prince Namor holding an unconscious and helpless Sue:
