Pebble in the river,
Splashes and ripples.
Face down staring,
At the face within the water,

Blue eyes, Long brown hair,
Lips to die for.
a smile like the angels.
And a laugh to melt ice.

Pebble falls.
Leaves you to your imagination,
Is that your face you see in the mirror?
Are those your hands.
Is that even your smile.

The water shows us what we really are.
And what we want to be.
The ripples rip fabric of reality.
And the world spins around.

Pebble in the water,
can you see me?
Through the blackened water?
Through the seaweed and fish.
Can you see me?

You have the eyes to see me but you don't use them,
the ears to hear my voice but you deafen yourself.
You have the eyes to see deep into my soul,
Only you let it become broken and dark.

The ripples in the stream show my true features.
My greasy black hair, and my blackened eyes.
a smile like the devil.
And a laugh as twisted as the fire.

Would you stare into the water ?
And see what you are?
Or what you want to be?
Would you drop the pebble?

Or maybe you're just scared of the truth.
Of the face in the mirror.
The laugh ringing in your ear.
The eyes you see the world with,
And the eyes the world sees you with
