The officer was going to take them into lock up, but one look into Sunburst's desperate, despairing eyes and he realised that locking him in a tiny area with his mother for 3 hours was a fate too cruel even for a traffic pony to consider. He left them with a citation and directions for Sunburst towards a good tavern.
