And before anyone asks, yes this was inspired by 'Uncommon Bond', and no, there's no MAJOR spoilers from this image!
Part of me really wants to see a scene in Season 8 of Sunburst attending the pony equivalent of the Antiques Roadshow, discovering one by one that each of his most expensive antiques are fake, culminating in him destroying the only genuine antique, in the style of 'The Vicar of Dibley'

This was originally created as a piece for Colour Collective over on Twitter (This week's colour being the dark green of Sunburst's cape!) However, I'm not around Friday evening, so I thought I might as well post it here a few days early.Β

I gave Sunburst a bit role in one of my fanfiction stories (which was slowly published over the first half of this year on FIMFiction.Net), and actually got pretty close to the whole antiquities interest considering it was months before this episode was released and the episode preview giving no clues about it!
(Without giving too much away of the story, Sunburst - who is living in Canterlot during the time the story is set in, same as Season 1 and before the return of the Crystal Empire - was researching artifacts in "The Luna Vault", a museum of sorts that was made from the thousand years of accumulated birthday and Hearth's Warming presents Celestia left for Luna when Luna was in exile, when he gets caught up in the events of the story and KOed, only to be rescued and sent to a hospital to recover.)

I've never understood the point of antiques. Some guy buys something, his kids sell their dad's old junk and finally the grandkids buy it back with more money than it originally cost. Oh well, as long as everyone's happy...
