Yesterday I finally finished sorting through all my stuff and setting up my studio. I thought it would be nice to share it, since I'm very very happy with it and oh so proud!
So, what do you think?Almost everything in the picture is second hand or home made. The biggest exceptions are the metal cabinets, the plastic drawers, my laser printer and my craft robo. I tell you this just to show that you don't need a lot of money to get the tools you need. Just patience, time and space. It took me 4 years to collect all my stuff.

What is the machine you use to "cut the sides of your books clean and flat...a manually operated machine", and where is it available? If you made it yourself, where did you get the plans or do you have them available...I have a plow and press but it is such a pain to set up and use in a small studio....

Hey Mary,
The machine is called a vertical plough. It's basically a press and the plough in one. You cut a few pages, turn a wheel to make the blade go down and cut the next few pages. It's much easier than a regular handheld plough. The machine was made by company named Louet. Here's a link . Here's a video. . Now, they do have a branch in North America but as far as I can see they only sell their wool-items there. Maybe you can contact them to see if they do have some over there. This is a shop in the States I think: here . Dryad has also produced some of these in the past. They called them junior ploughs I believe. They might be available on ebay.

Your studio makes me want to create! it's awsome. May I ask where you got the craft robo? I've been looking around, but can't find one anywhere - I only find information about it.

Thank you so much! Craft Robo was a product by Graphtec, but they sold it to Silhouette. Silhouette now has a standard edition (SD) much like my old craft robo, and a a3 version called the Silhouette Cameo. There are better cutters on the market, like the Cougar, but the prizes are scary!

Haha, I know! I'm notorious for making the biggest messes and working in them for a week if i'm on a roll. But once the project is finished, I want everything back in their right spots. I can't stand not being able to find something

Will you share a picture of the very ugly Santa hats that will be used for Christmas cards? LOL
I love your space, so neat and tidy. My studio started out that way, then I got in it, then I had to reorganize, then I used it, then I cleaned it, organized it... used it again... got more stuff, collected more recyclable materials for projects, started a new project, then another two in the same studio at the same time (studio is only 10x11 foot room)
SO... I hope you have better luck keeping yours clean and organized! Oh and I so envy your flooring!

Well, turns out, whatever way you look at them, ugly santa hats stay ugly! XD So I used old cd's for the christmascards instead
