Great composition and atmosphere, one thing I would point out is the trees in the centre of the image are too close to the bottom of the frame.

I repeatedly applied Marc Adamus sharpening technique.
Here it is:
Step by step
1: Flatten the image
2: Resize image to 1.666 times the final size you want. If your final output size is 600px then you should resize at this point to 1000px
3: Apply the Sharpen filter (not Unsharp Mask)
4: Duplicate the layer
5: Apply Sharpen filter (to the top layer, it will look waaaay oversharpened)
5: Resize to final output size. So if you have just resized your iamge to 1000px resize it to 600px now.
6: Apply smart sharpen (set to gaussian blur, 0.2px, 80%). This just brings out a little more crispness!
7: Use a layer mask on the top (sharpest) layer to adjust opacity and mask areas which look oversharpened.
8: You may wish to slightly correct the saturation and brightness which will have changed fractionally during the process.
Personally I don't use a duplicated layer but that is my lazy choice

Hmmm, not very far but I have to go with someone... being alone int he wild mountains of Romania it's not the best idea.
We still have wolfs and bears in our woods

Oh, wolfs and bears! They are trying to bring them back into Germany's wildness... but they always end up shot. (We had a wolf that escaped from the zoo/something people might consider a zoo and was living in the woods. In the end somebody thought he was a stray dog and shot him... the whole town was sad)

I hope Germany will have them back. Here in Romania we never killed all of them. The ecosystem is still in a balance (Except the massive brake downs people make which obviously affects the ecosystem

If you're looking at a map of Germany, you don't really find lots of house-free space. So there isn't lots of space for wolfs and bears at all. But yes, I hope we'll get some of them back. Right now we have boars and deers, though... and a few others. But no huge carnivores at all.

Most of the people rush with their winter posts here on dA... I won't... so the spring will definitely catch me posting winter shots... I just hope it won't be a problem.
Winter is not the nicest season indeed but when it's without snow, than it's really ugly
