That is one serious spec.
As for intimidating, I'm thinking of the rumble that exhaust would let out even at idle.

well forged pistons and hardened valves let it rev to about 7500rpm,Β which for a 6.27 litre V8 was a hell of a high rev though at that it didn't rumble it screamed, and set off burglar alarms when I drove through the city

Beautiful! I cried when I read about someone making a Mad Max replica out of a serious piece of cherry like yours! Don't get me wrong, a Mad Max "Interceptor" is a lottery dream, but I'd NEVER ruin a clean, working Falcon to make one!

Well to be fair, all you need to do that is a Concord body kit (which was an off the shelf plastic nose cone and 2 rear spoilers) and a great stonking Weiand blower, but cutting an XB GT bonnet (hood) (which the Interceptor was) is a crime, since even when I had mine in the 90's they were impossible to find (I needed one as my car had a 2 foot hole cut in the bonnet (hood) for a Tunnel Ram that I took off since I used it as a daily driver, and, well a Tunnel Rammed car isn't very going to the store friendly Β anyway, couldn't get a replacement, so found a brilliant metalworker and got it patched, yes, the car in that photo has a 2 foot hole in the bonnet (hood) thats been patched, they did an amazing job, even laying your cheek on the metal you could not see where it had been! They even repaired the reinforcing frame underneath, and once again paint match and surface was so good you could not tell!)
anyway, TLDR;Β my car was actually way more heavily modified than the Interceptor in Mad Max (body wise, and engine wise, the actual movie car was not as hotted up as they said in the film, since they had almost no budget)

Probably would be less rare if they'd stop making Mad Max films!
