Berlin before Hitler came to power, before the Holocaust, before the Nazis came to power.

Insane in a "wow, that must have taken you hours" kind of way, not in a "lock the man up" kind of way. I swear.

And you're welcome. I can't believe your gallery hasn't generated more interest, it's brilliant.

Haha! Thanks alot, again! To be fair, I draw these pictures over several days, only doing a bit here and there, and they don't take so long, once I have a sky and composition-there's no stopping me. I am a bit dis-heartened by the fact my gallery hasn't gained much interest, but it makes me appriciate the comments I do get, far more than if I had a lot coming in every day.

Beautiful sky, fella!

Was the source photo that you used taken early in the morning, do you know?

Thanks! I am quite pleased with the sky on this. It has a much lighter, fresher look to it. I'm also particulary pleased with the larger dome on the left and the little tower to it's right. There is quite a contrast between the two halfs of this painting I feel. Much more detail on the left- the right seems a little simplistic.

As for the photo, being pre 1940's it was all in black and white- and the sky was very grey, so not easy to say when it was taken. I would have said late afternoon. But the sky you see here is based on the sky I saw out of my bedroom window the other night.
Thanks for the fave too.
BTW Why havn't you uploaded any of your shrewsbury Photos yet??

I see what you mean about the right side, but I wouldn't say it was simplistic. Still pretty incricate, what with the windows and bricks and stuff.

Interesting that the sky is so different to the source pic.

I didn't upload the Shrews pics cos they were crap. I need at least 45 mins of shooting to warm up, then after that I get into it and started taking a few decent photos. If I had carried on for a bit longer, I would have taken some photos worthy of submission. But I didn't have enough time cos SOMEONE kept complaining they were bored and wanted to leave...

Well I'm sorry!
I agree You need time to get into taking photos or drawing-being creative in general. It's impossible to just force something out of you.
