Me.Photo 3 in a series of 4.
Summer 2008
This past summer I shot photographs of my mother, father, brother, and myself holding a pigβs heart. The pictures are a reaction to my mother and fatherβs heart attacks. Each of our poses are very specific. My intention was to make photographs that capture how we each uniquely responded to the heart attacks and our individual perceptions of mortality in general.

Thank you! I use a Wacom tablet to "paint" over the original photograph by dodging and burning.

the serial is really stunning. it's a hard subject to have heart problems and in the different poses you showed very nice the difference between our behavior with those things!

This is really striking, I'm curious about what your reaction was in reference to your pose?
And these look so much like drawings, what did you do with them?
