This is a very simple, but NICE shot. What did you use to get the green tone (Photoshop I take it, duotone) It's a very nice colour choice. And I like how the black blocks out part of the picture out, How did you do that very cool

yeah, just a dark green over the whole picture in overlay or colour mode, forget which.
as for the black, i adjusted the contrast and brightness a bit, which naturally gave it that effect

i dont ever use filters or anything like that to my photos

This is great. I love simple shots like this..You are on your way to becoming a great photographer, like you wanted to be. This would be awesome used as a texture or even stock photo, as well as a lot of your shots. Good work and good luck in the future!
