That's a cool pose and a gorgeous animal!

Were you close enough to use a flash? That may have helped mitigate the overexposure a bit... dark subjects are so hard to photograph in bright sunlight

I couldn't use flash because I was quite far away from the animal. But indeed it is difficult to calculate how much light is enough
