Hi JJ,
You have a wonderful gallery I especially like this piece It has a wonderful feeling of power and movement. I would very much like to request it for my group and send you an invite as a member to the group. But I need to let you know before hand that what I do with the members art work is display their work on a group website called Enchanted Realms. This web site is in several web league competitions and I do this to give my members more exposure to their fantasy art work outside of just DA.

Many concept artists are intimidated by horses, so well done for giving it a shot! I think you did very well and captured the tricky elements of the foreshortening and movement of the pose.

Yeah,it's something that i wanted to try out for the longest of time but got a little held back because of the complexity of it. Anatomy is something that i'm not really good at let alone dynamic ones which i always try to portray in my illustrations but i'm working on it!

Aha, lifes a pain! Idk where you live but im in the UK, and i go to college,(college here is different to other places in the world) and college eats so much of my time. Other than that im pretty chill ig. How are you man? Is live treating you well?
And i have been checking your artwork out, and like damn, the stuff on there is lit! Your work is amazing, really some of the best stuff ive seen. You totally need to make a comic book with that level of skill.
Oh && are you doing any free requests this christmas? I have a couple of things im dying to see done in a high quality piece of art!

Ah college,good thing i don't have to deal with academics anymore especially now that i'm a full time student in game art&design 
I'm doing fantastic in my little career here on Devintart but not so much in school,not this semester at least since they're covering the technical side of things like sound design,video compositing and believe it or not animation. Man,i hate the animation module so much,i just cant adapt to the expressive cartoon style the school's teaching. I still have about 9 weeks more before i move on to second year where i can finally learn stuff that actually matters in my career,can't wait for that!
Am i doing another round of free requests this Christmas? I wish but unfortunately i can't since my schedule's packed this whole month with commissions and i'll be off country for a week. Maybe,i'll do a new year's special,who knows?

Im studying ICT, which is great when im stripping down a PC, and building it back up, but painful when im making a database. It aint too bad really. Ill be doone with education in June and be able to work more. I cant wait!
So do you get some really big degrees studying full time in art&design?
And Wow sounds like alot of hardwork youve had going on. So you have to do their art style? And not your own? Thats certainly putting a limit on creativity. Where abouts are you from btw?

Ah cool, what are you going to work as once you graduate?
There are definitely places where you can get degrees in my field but i won't be intending to pursue one for a couple of reasons.
One, it isn't necessary to go to an art college/University to improve the craft. There are so much material out there on the internet that puts art education to shame.
Two, a degree or an excellent GPA DOESN'T mean anything in the concept art/ illustration industry. Your portfolio is what gonna get you the job. You can be a straight A student in art school but if you don't set aside time to do some personal work, you're not gonna be very desirable compared to someone who isn't as good but has a ton to show besides school work.
Three, It saves both time and money!
It is a lot of hard work, i don't have exams in my course so every assignment and project is graded which adds to the stress. But the animation module will soon be over in a few week's time! I'm from Singapore if you haven't notice
Where did i go? I went for a vacation to South Korea with my family, we celebrated Christmas there and visited some really cool destinations.
