Description Ultimate Art Challenge -Create the next Disney Princess

This is Kirima, princess of the Inuit (Eskimo) tribe of Southern Canada.

10 years ago, in 1771 her family was run from their homestead by french explorers who massacred more than half of their people.

Though they were forced from their home they made the perilous journey into the deep cold of Northern Canada where they were intercepted by territorial warriors of another Inuit tribe that held entirely different customs than their own. The Northern Tribe cautiously but graciously took in the remaining members of the Southern Tribe into their home land. The Chief, Kaskae of the Southern Tribe made a risky decision to disguise his young daughter as a boy to always keep the Southern linage pure of the Northern Tribe.

Kirima grew up along side the Prince of the Northern Tribe, Siku, meaning ‘ice’ in Inuit dialect. He was as calm and cool as his namesake with the exception of Kirima, the suppose son of the Southern Tribe, who was a constant annoyance by being particularly good at hunting and ice fishing. They spend their entire childhoods trying to one up each other.

The year 1781 brought the coming of age of both “Princes” and the great decision of the Northern Chief to betroth his daughter, the sister of Suki to Kirima. Unable to combat the Chief who had shown them great kindness for a decade Kaskae could not refuse him. Kaskae’s only daughter was now meant to marry the daughter of the Northern Tribe.

Siku was also shocked by this news because the approach to his coming of age he found a strange interest in Kirima that didn’t seem natural and he found himself jealous of his own sister.

This romantic drama was not the end for Kirima because on the horizon marches more new world conquerors with a murderous mindset.
