Character and rehashing of a species that I came up with on a long drive. Basically they attempt to look like a prey animal so they can get closer to their actual prey before it realizes its actually a predator, does it work? sometimes.

Kiri here is different from the typical species though because she is actually more along the lines of a werewolf, she used to be human but was bit/attempted mauling, and now when night falls she feels the primal animal part of herself pushing for release. She has differences in her diet and tooth structure because she was originally omnivorous so she remains that way even when shifted This kind of wereish operates opposite of most whereas a full moon affects most weres the new moon is the time when she looses herself. This "ability" has also extended her life, how much remains to be seen.

Weres are not a common happening in the world since most often the victim dies from the attack.

The raven on her shoulder is her friend Korith who is/was a lower member of the Academy(group of obsessed magelike people) and is a shape-shifter though he can only take the form of a raven, human, or a somewhere between.

tl-dr weird were critter that goes crazy in the new moon and looks like a deer to sneak up on people. the raven is a shape shifter
