Sorry for the delay! Been redoing the apartment a bit, soaked up some of my forward momentum.
That is some really pretty ink work, I like it. Soft lines, cool shapes, nice general composition.
Some of your details are distracting, while the big shapes all point in good solid directions, the little ones are derailing a bit of the movement. The eye has a hard time knowing where to start and rest.
That said, I really like the framing edges - with some nice colors to contrast and pull the eye around appropriately I imagine it would fix some of the issues I see. It would also turn into quite the solid lil cover piece to some story.

I see, you're right, particularly the fish scales in the bubbles which are going diagonally, right? If both of them were facing inwards, I think it might help, I'll have to pencil the smaller objects carefully next time. (I was initially not sure if putting them in the same direction could make them interesting, because it needed something to stand out, but this is too many, chaotic?) Was it a bad idea to start with the big objects first?
Do you think using small, still objects detract also? My eye rested on the flower but refused to move after that.
Colors eh... will monochrome do also? I'm not too keen on stark colors lately since I'm experimenting with a different feel (last few were bright vivid colors). Sorry I seem to always have 100 or more questions, but please don't worry about them if it is not timely.

Colors should work in any form, I just figured the range of intensity down to dull would be useful to pull the eye.
Good idea to start with big shapes, always - just sometimes there's too much emphasis on small shapes. I do it too. We split up the big ones too much with some fine details time to time.
That said, this is still a good picture, so don't think this drags it down too far
