am back to one of my favourite artists, I do like seeing you develop your work. This is a great pic of herding as you say in the title. It's what appears to be a misty day on marsh with a river some beautiful blurring as I see around the edges that comes with a lot of your work but each time it always has a different effect to the atmosphere. The huge tufts of grass do block much of the view, although depending on the context of the picture it could be someone looking out to the marsh to see what is going on.
the anatomy of animals is amazingly drawn as normal for most of your pics. The deer in the background is a lovely part that shows a mysterious nature to the land on this misty morning, maybe that could have had a greater effect on the image if it was more pronounced. or perhaps the deer could be another drawing for another time
overall this has been another great instalment, a lovely mysterious foggy morning of herding deer.

Hello FeatherCandy

This is a nice image. It conveys a light touch and is an excellent example of animal anatomy. I especially like the deer in the far background looking up.

The first issue is the third deer behind the other two. At fist I thought the horse rider was holding antlers. Only on closer examination that I could see the legs of the deer behind the horse, but its barely visible. I would say remove the deer entirely to streamline the composition. The second issue is the vegetation at the bottom of the frame. It looks like a Gaussian blur filter was applied to the vegetation layer. I would suggest you place different parts of the bottom vegetation in different layers and apply different amounts of Gaussian blur to give it a greater feeling of depth. It would also help make the dog appear more clearly.

And that is really the main issue with the image, and that is depth. Right now it is somewhat truncated. You are on the right track however, and I think with just a few adjustments the sense of depth could enhanced.

Thank you for the Critique! I will say I gave up on the dog that's what it's covered I was simply lazy, and I know the reindeer is hidden as this was meant to show the main focus of the piece which is the horse and the rider. It's a herding piece so all of the reindeer are shown in a bit of a chaotic way not perfect in the view.
