Description
This is the finished piece it is of Giraffe bone ,Elk Antler and sterling silver collar joining the two pieces together. The piece was Commissioned and carved on site at pennsic war by a gentileman for his wife ,as an anniversary gift. She loved it !the runes say Asta beloved of Valdur!

i can sympathise, i had a blank of oak sitting in my shop since i saved it from a land clearing back in 03, didnt find inspiration on what to do with it until about a year and a half ago, still working on it between other projects, and you are very welcome my friend

Im sorry to say no, this was a commission and a one of a kind piece. I could make you one similar, but this one is now in the hands of a very happy lady.

a VERY rough estimate would be in the 200-400 dollar range but your cost would be based on what you would like to have done and if you want silver work or gem stones inlaid.

its amazing! i do some carving myself but nothing that wonderful. what tools did you use? maybe a pic of them with the needlecase?

The needle case is in the hands of its new owner. The tools I used are the same as the tools used to carve all of my horn and bone items, A Foredom Flex shaft ,jewelers files ,sand paper and a polishing wheel with white diamond buffing compound.
