This is a very special piece for me. I recently attended Wendy Froud's dollmaking workshop in Eugene, Oregon before Faerieworlds this year. We spent three days in the class learning how to make dolls. I met some new friends and everyone was great. It was an amazing experience and I HIGHLY recommend it!!Morlan is made from sculpey, leather, acrylic paint, glue, wire, and masking tape. And some other things, too
He is fully pose-able.Wendy Froud also has DVDs available, and a book (which I designed!)

Wow he is so awesome! You have lived my dream - to attend one of Wendy Froud's workshops and learn from the master. Curse that I live so far away from Oregon! Morlan looks like he was made by the master herself. You are to be highly commended!

i'm not usually into heavy fantasy beyond Tolkein depictions, animal and people combinations always freak me out a little (although i do enjoy Jordan's use... then again, the Trollocs are supposed to be scary.
nevertheless. this is a superb piece of art. very nice work.

Wow ohh WOW I love Brian and Wendy Froud! I know they live in Devon England, but I had no idea she was doing workshops! What an amazing finished work of art! Is there a secret to making them posable? Did you make the head, hands, feet out of sculpy and stitch the body together?

That is amazing-- The design and detail are so thorough... Even though I can see the influence from Wendy Froud, it really and primarily looks like one of your illustrations come to life!
