Boring title, too bad. This thing was the result of me and some other shmoes figuring out that I am a half decent colorist. Upon learning this a couple of friends lent me there line work to color in another vain attempt to get noticed amongst the sea of an-eeh-may and furry porn artists.On the side this was great practice for me and it allowed me to really see how an actual comic colorist job would be like. Sort of anyway.
Original sketch and character were created by the wonderful and talented . Colors are totally by me. Make sure to drop a compliment her way if you like it! Otherwise you're a rude sonofabitch.

this turned out awesome! it's a bit surreal seeing your coloring combined with julie's linework...probably just because i'm used to seeing them separately all the time...her's being gorgeous 2D and yours becoming more awesomely three dimensional all the time. You Rock!

Ooh, awesome colours. I think you would make a good colorist!! ^_^ You have a good eye for colour schemes, and you're very comfortable with computers and digital artwork. I say go with it!

I like to imagine I have good ideas but it's, in a way, more interesting a new dimension to other people's work. Like breathing a new life into it. Colorist sounds like a fun way to start out. Beats being a letterer.

Aw, I know what you mean! I kinda use that phrase when I think about fanart... Like your own thoughts, but applied to another person's creation? ^_^ I think that helps creativity, although I know some would argue that with me. ;3 But hey, you do have good ideas! From what I've seen in class, at least!

A definite way you could improve your coloring is mixing hues. Like, instead of just creating value by adding black/white, you could try using compliments as well. Also, don't forget to have colors reflecting each other! Like the orange of the fur should reflect in the hair and the blue of the top should reflect on the fur in touches... This will make your style much more smooth I think.
But yes, you've already got a lot of good things going for you as far as digital coloring goes. Keep it up homeslice. <3

The color black and the color white were only used in the black fur. I never shade using black or white if I can avoid it; only complimentary colors in order to increase depth.
Reflections would be good though.
