This represents the neccessity of allowing the past remain the past, no matter how painful it is. No matter how much we may want to hang on to old feelings, we have to shed our old skin and keep moving forward.

"Cicada Pride" is, specifically, a name I give to a certain group of friends of mine -- "cicada" associates with bohemian... --; the drawing I speak of is of something I said during a party...
Me: Man, I feel something strange... like I was shedding my skin after 17 years sleeping under the ground, and now I feel like being an adult cicada!
The image I simply can't daw well is exactly thjis scene of a person shedding his own skin and coming out as someone new. That's the "Cicada Pride".
