Description

The Gateway was a virtual reality device that transported you to a new world. It was amazing, until a thousand students got trapped in it by the device's creator, who killed himself and left a message that said removing the device would kill any user who tried; the only way out was to complete the game. But we didn't want to leave. We loved the game world, where we could be anything and do anything. There was no appeal in returning to our old lives. Most of us were poor or bored. It was our new home.
