Can't say I'm looking forward to the remake but I too have all the original noes flicks, I love them all, got a few comics myself and even 2 freddy gloves, one metal and one plastic. I'm Freddy fan too but mainly of the original one. I'll see the remake but I'll wait so I can rent it on dvd.

I got all the comics just for $20, I'm renting all the movies (I like them all so far), I can't wait for the movie because I want to see if Jackie Earle Hayley will be just as good as Robert Englund. Where did you get the gloves? I must know.

I'm not really a big fan of Jackie Haley but I'll admit that I have seen a few of his movies that I thought he was pretty good in. In my opinion, no one will ever be able to top Englund, Robert is Freddy, everyone else is just a copy. The reason I'm against this remake is because the company called Platinum Dunes lied about Robert turning down the freddy role when they asked when in actuality, they never did ask him for it. He knew nothing About the remake until the last minute, I've also seen some of their other remakes and I gotta say, I have'nt really enjoyed many of them. One of the producers too at PD called those who were against the idea of freddy being replaced with some other guy, idiots as well. They never contacted Wes Craven about the remake either and he's pretty upset about it. I have some links to back up my saying too if you'd like to see them. Anyway, we'll see, I hope you have a good time anyway when you do go see it. Ok, done with my rant, sorry, just had to get it out lol.
As for the gloves, ?I got both of them off amazon.com, the metal one is the freddy deluxe glove, that ones a good choice if you want to make the exact noises like it does in the movies when freddy scrapes against things and stuff. the plastic one is mainly just for show. But still good.

That's fine. A good movie that Jackie was in was WATCHMEN. He was Rorschach, my favorite character.

Meh, I never really got into the Watchmen comics, therefore I did'nt care much for the movie. A few of the movies with him in it that I liked though were Maniac Cop 3

The new movie can't be any worse then "Wes Craven's New Nightmare". Don't get me wrong I liked every Elm Street movie a lot, but that was the worst of the series!.
And yes I am a big fan of "Freddy VS Jason" that movie was great!

I'm sorry but I have to disagree, Wes Craven's New Nightmare was awesome. Let's not forget that Freddy in that movie was being based on a realistic take of how he would be like in the real world, I liked the whole idea of him being a demon that was trapped in the noes movies as a character and that he could kill his victims without having them to be asleep. Also, it was one of his darkest ones right next to noes1,2, and 3 but I still love the other noes movies as well.
But I do agree that I think that the remake will suck too.
Freddy vs Jason was good even though it had it's flaws, I'd rather watch that anyday over a remake.

Yeah, same here, I liked how they at least kept jason's origin the same and I liked the new kills as well as the old ones and I though Derek ?Mears did a pretty good job on playing jason. however, I did'nt care much for the plot or the teenage actors(thought they were annoying as hell) and just who pays for jason's electric bill? lol

true, which leads me to this question, where the heck did jason find a generator underground, let alone, why does he live underground when he can just use the cabin? Also, kidnapping people just isn't jason's style, he just kills them.

but even jason isn't that stupid to not realize who his mother really is, as a matter of fact if he even saw you trying to impersonate his mom, he'd kill you right on the spot as proven in the original ft13th films. As far as the generator goes, I have no idea, he could've but I thought it was really uneeded as well as some other things, like the cell and him laying traps around the camp. I mean yeah, he did set traps in the original movies but he never went too far with them where he almost ended up acting like rambo.
