well it's kinda an asian thing. The turtle in tapestries and such looks more like a dragon in some depictions! I thought it was neat enough to try my hand at.

Fantastic and fascinating. I love the combination of fur and scales (or bone or suit or whatever.) I've never seen anything like that; very creative.
Also, your lack of strong color seems to work very well for this type of image.
One thing that does "bug" me, and I know this is my error, not yours, is that the front paw on the ground seems to be a little higher than the rear paws, although I know this is perfectly correct for the wider stance of the front limbs. But part of my brain perceives this as "the front leg is too short." Perhaps one thing which would help me is a little bit more referential texture on the ground. A little stone or grass might go a long way to adding to the overall impression.
But it's fantastic work and needs nothing.
