Beautiful! I love the concept and design. I've thought of doing something similar with glass etching, but I'm not sure if it would block the light well enough to create the shadows I want. Is this painted? The effect is beautiful; wonderfully done!

Hmm I suppose if you scratched it really hard it would create a shadow I'm sure. I'd love to see the result if you do
