As always, anyone who favs my work will receive a Llama!
There was a massive lightning storm down in Florida about two days ago. I was riding my bike home from school and the clouds and sky were flashing all around me. It's some of the most intense lightning I've ever seen! However, despite all the flashing and booming, it wasn't raining, so I booked it home, dashed into my apartment and out with my camera. I headed out to the main road outside my complex and started snapping a series of 6-4 second exposure images. In total, I took about 200 photos and got to witness a plane get hit by lightning (unfortunately it happened just slightly out of frame so I only have the before and after shots).

We just had a cloud like that the night to today. The thunders were jumping in the could but there was no sound from it.

Oh yes, the plane getting hit was definitely the highlight of that night. Everyone was fine, planes get hit by lightning quite often and are designed to handle the shock well.

This is all natural lightning. I was taking long exposure images which means the shutter of my camera was open for about 6 seconds allowing multiple lightning strikes to occur.

The clouds and lightning almost look fake. Also, love the tail light streaks in the foreground.
