Awwww... Awwwww~!! Okay, I have to admit when this appeared in my inbox, I gushed with love. :'D I know that it was a really simple artwork, the kind that anybody can do, but the way you portrayed it and handled each cardboard is what makes this piece... special. Art. It makes me feel that simple joy in it which is the red balloon and the character seems so content standing there with it. I agree with Malbelma's comment above me; you really can make amazingly neat lines with sharpies. I know, I know, you're probably going "But I just doodle this. It's not that great. >_>;" But it is. I just love it that much! <33 Speaking of the lines, I think it's a neat touch how you varies the line weight- especially his arms and legs. Oh those stick legs. xDD

I like how you included kinda like a background there; the stripes really seems to tie the two cardboard together well and complete the scenery that lies before us. It doesn't feel like the character and the balloon is randomly standing in space so kudos on that move! Though I'll have to admit, the way the string is set; it doesn't really make sense. Considering how the balloon is usually tugging at its string as it was floating in the air, almost like its trying to get away- so technically the string should be straight and tight. Unless the character [I believe his new name is now Gus?] really loves that balloon and kept it around for a while till it started losing its air. >_>; xD

Anyhoo.

This is a really cute work; simple but so much fun to it. I love how you can do easy things like this and bring so much to it. Keep it up; I always do enjoy looking at your works!
