hey, um im going to need help, you see my friends a programmer who wants to make a test game using me as the artist how would you recommend working with them and their story line

i see...so they haven't given you any kind of design at all? :S that isn't much to work with haha! maybe you should ask them more questions, hair/eye/skin colour, personality, etc, otherwise i don't know where you would begin really haha.

maybe you should ask him for references, they really help when you're not sure quite what your commissioner is asking for. if he just wants you to use your imagination you could always do a quick sketch of one of the characters, send it to him and ask if you're on the right track? hope i'm helping somewhat haha
