Thanks   used a  55-250 telephoto lens   it's good for macro shots at around a 4 ft. distance    it wasn't too expensive   www.amazon.ca/Canon-55-250mm-T…

You are the second person I know who has this lens and hasn't tried the macro feature yet,  I just bought a lens hood for it  hopefully it will stop the sun from ruining my pictures.

I hope it helps, I have a few hoods for my lenses, and all kinds of doo dads too, when I have time, I play around with them, but it's pretty rare these days, We've been taking care of my Wife's Granddaughters little baby the last 7 months, but she is coming to get the little guy in a couple weeks then maybe I can go to some car shows before the season is over.

I got a built in family too,   we're having a nice visit with the granddaughter now   she's 12   going to the beach every day,  might not have much internet for the next couple weeks  it's usually mostly used up after the grand kids visit.
