Description Used Scott Hartmans' skeletal reference: www.deviantart.com/art/Jeholor…

Jeholornis is an obscure little Chinese dinosaur who got some attention last year when some researchers asserted that it had two tail fans, a decorative non-overlapping one at the tip and a more aerodynamically functional one at the base. Some think this is incorrect and that the interrupted fan can be better explained by poor preservation, which I'm inclined to agree with. Nonetheless, rule of cool is in effect here and I liked this better.

Feathers are from ringneck hen pheasants, ruffed grouse, lady Amherst pheasant, Reeves pheasant, golden pheasant, and turkey. I don't like mixing species that much, but it was kind of unavoidable in this case.

It's for sale, theoretically, but I'm not entirely certain how one would go about shipping it.

The dinosaur itself is only about 3 feet long, but with the base and pose it's right near 6 feet at the tip of the tail feathers.
