Personality: At the beginning of the series, she's mean, rude, and blunt due to the amnesia spell that Sen casted to protect her. But after becoming unpossessed, she's much more nicer and forgiving, since she now remembers her past life as a princess.

Relationships: The mother of Sen and Uta. Former enemy and current mentor of Aya, Chiyu, Miki, and Hiko.

Background:

In a backstory ripped straight from a fairytale, Princess Beauty lived with her ladies in waiting in a castle in the Cure Kingdom, ruling over the other fairy tales with her king, Prince Light. But in a twist of terrible fate, a evil queen cursed Beauty that she'd join the Dark Tale's side and destroy the Cure Kingdom, thus making "the prophecy come to fruition". Not wanting that to happen, they sent Beauty and the ladies in waiting to earth, with altered memories and identities. Then, they put a magical barrier around the kingdom, where only the cures could enter and leave once their identities were found out.

But Sei, as her new identity was known as, was turned into Dark Princess Rose for 10 episodes of the series. She has a Jekyll and Hyde sort-of dynamic, constantly transforming to her evil form whenever she's needed. Sei's rose-themed powers were extremely influenced by evil, and only with the discovery of the Key Heart would she be healed. Luckily, with Slipper's magic, she was turned back to normal, and becomes the second-to-last cures of the series.

- Sei used to constantly make fun of Aya, despite the fact that they were best friends back in the cure kingdom.

- Because of this, Sei constantly thinks that she has some connection to Aya that she can't see.

- As Cure Rose, she has the ability to control rose vines, making walls or platroms for protection and increased mobility.

- Before she transforms into her Princess Form, she has a special power called Rose Rope! (ローズロープ！), which allows her to shoot out a vine rope that either can tie up an enemy or act as a real rope, a la venus love me chain.

- In her princess form, she has an attack called Rose Renegade! (ローズ・レネゲード！). After pointing the Key Heart wand towards her target, ribbons wrap around the enemy, immobilizing it. And after that, she shoots out a giant fist of rose vines, which knocks the enemy really far.
