This is a portrait of Noel Redding I did, I did it awhile ago but I just got around to posting it today- It's for my beloved N who died about eight years ago. I hope he's happy wherever he is!
I did it with watercolor- my best friend when it comes to color.

Oh my god I love Noel Redding. He is just my absoulte favorite person- I love the fact he just had to go through all that stuff and made it, and of course his bass playing, simply the foundation for the Jimi Hendrix Experience. His voice is another one of my favorite things, too! Gosh man, I love the way he sings. Ooohh He was so handsome! Defnatily top on my list! ;D

Oh woah, woman! I know nothing about him compared to you! But I'm making it a goal of mine to get to know more more more about all these great musicians out there that I am absolutely clueless about! :3 You have inspired me.
And, also I tend to paint heavier so I think I'm going to try light washes like what you did here :]

And hah, are they Light Washes? I don't really know alot about that stuff- but I dont like to use alot of water, though, but I did learn a neat trick about Inking watercolors! You're supposed to Ink AFTER you color it! Its supposed to work better.

That's fantastic! I've met all these people who are absolute experts on all these musicians, and I must say I am jealous of y'all's knowledge, and that I may wanna leech it offa you someday...probably soon ;D
Oh just how light and delicate it all looks, it means you used more water to lighten the colour. Or something, haha! I like acrylics and heavier paints, so it's hard for me to paint those light colours D: But yes inking it afterwards looks so awesome!

Oh cool, man. I really want a dark effect, though, with Watercolors. Like, I want it to be heavier in a feel. Do you know how to do that with Watercolor?

Oh dear god I have no clue. Probably The Beatles. Or Led Zeppelin. Or Pink Floyd. It's so hard to choose. I also go through phases where all I can listen to is 80s/90s grunge stuff. Probably those first three at the moment
Less water on your brush so it doesn't get all diluted, don't put so much water on the paper? You just gotta experiment man! :]

Beatles - John Lennon. My "twin" (born on same day, our mommies are bffs) adores George Harrison and I used to too, but Lennon has just grown to be my fav. Just his voice... it is love.
Zeppelin - JIMMYPAGE. Holy cow. I love that man. I find him sexier than Plant, and he his one talented beast!

Wow, I love this! I love all the colors, you're so good with psychdelic art. I love his face, too, he looks so peacefully happy. I like that flower he's holding, like he's holding it up to the wind. (What's that he's got in his other hand, though?)
You do remarkably well with psychedelic watercolour portraits of people, you know that?

Hah Its supposed to be a wine glass, I was listening to "Mr.Moonshine" And one of the lines was "PUt a little somthing in my Wine" and I always liked that line.
For the flower I considered it being a four leaved shamrock at first- Just because everytime i see one i think of him.

Hmm, a four-leafed shamrock? *thinks about it* That actually would have looked nice. But I think the flower works best. Makes sense, though, in a way. I mean, I don't personally see the connection between him and shamrocks, but I do understand the fact that you perceive one. (I, actually, have some pretty weird connections between things and people.)
It is a very good thing that you like to do these, because I believe that everyone should love to do the things they're good at.

Yup! And the shamrock, Its kind of a weird personal thing, Becuase in my room I have on of his LP's "Clonakilty Cowboys" And hes wearing this cowboy hat with a shamrock pin on it, And he lived in Ireland, but my favorite is a line from a Pete Townshend song thats always stuck out for me...I sound crazy but It just makes me think of My N.

It's just one more thing to remind me of Noel!
