Another sketchdump~

Trying some new techniques and experimenting with grayscale stuff. I'm normally not a big fan of using grayscale, I tend to find it to be a bit more effort than it's worth when coloring a full piece, however I've started doing it with sketches and small doodles just to get out of my comfort zone and also just try some new ways to sketch things out without having to spend too much time and effort, haha.

There's a couple @'s under some of these because I found a bunch of very useful poses from other srtists that I wanted to reference. I do this to get a grip of how foreshortening and volume works, but also to help me figure out more dynamic poses for future knowledge, and also how the more "meaty" parts of a body works when in these kind of poses. Things like thighs, calves, arms, any clothing, etc. all have physics and are also affected by gravity and pressure points, and it's hard to draw, man! So yeah, references are needed for me while I'm still in the process of figuring out how that shit works so that I can eventually be able to draw it all on my own like a big boy. (So yeah, thank you star_bite and kitkaloid, love you and your art mwah <3)

Also doing some (MORE) changes to Kevin, will probably be changing his name as well just cause "Kevin" was technically just a temporary name that I gave him back when I first created him, but never bothered to actually change. Other than his name though, his body is going through a big change and it's not puberty lmao
I'm exploring ways to make his body look robotic, with the only part with any "skin" being his head and neck. He was either built that way, or it's because of what happened to him (he got shot in the head). Since he's a robot he doesn't die from it, however the part of his "brain" that stores his personality and memories couldn't be recovered. Because of this he's reset to a stoick, inanimate and blunt android. His skin camouflage is part of that bit that was lost, as he can choose how he would like to look depending on his personality. And well, because of his LACK of one, he only camouflages the part that is necessary, a.k.a the head.

Idk though, I'll figure it out. I kind of like him just having a body like that normally, since he was built as a battle android prototype and not a finished "product".
