Cheul Soo has two younger sisters he loves very much; Sora and Ha Neul. He lives with them and his grandmother near the University he attends. His father passed away from heart failure, causing his mother to leave them and her responsibilities to his grandmother when he was younger.

When he was in middle school, Cheul Soo has been a subject to bullying because of his short and petite nature. Fed up about comments on his height and how he was parent-less, he persisted his grandmother for taekwondo lessons. Instead, his plan of standing up to the bullies backfired; rumors spread that if you mess with Cheul Soo, you'd get beaten up. Because of this false rumor, he didn't have many close friends until High School. His family was born in Busan, but his sisters and his grandmother moved around a lot for his education. He realized how fun theatre was in his high school years and dreamed of becoming a makeup artist. Despite his dreams, he figured that there wasn't enough pay if he became a makeup artist to get by and support his only family, he took Business instead. He isn't with contact with his mother at all, but he found out long ago that she was still sending them money every few months.
