Description
An attempt to use up a hand-me-down huge sheet of dense paper. Its a piece about not doing internal self reflection on a topic, while getting into debates or discussions on it, and how with no concrete opinion you can get backed into corners in these conversations & stand with a certain side, but if you don't know what you'd actually say, had you meditated on it, it can feel like your sense of & definition of self is harder and harder to define or rely upon. Sure, you can lie in a conversation, say you agree with someone when you don't because you don't think you can explain your conflicting view point in their logic system, but you only know its a lie if you already know what you think on the subject. Kinda about the importance of having & holding opinions, whether you step forward with them or not, in the scheme of having an identity. Lines ups with previous paintings I've done where the Id or soul is represented by a shadow. Done with color (watercolor) ink washes, white ink, and india ink washes. Painted live/outside a gallery during, but not at Arts in the Heart this past year.
