I have never seen such a painting like this before. Two people with instruments for bodies and heads, raining in the street, and dancing with each other. Several people holding umbrellas and walking by, a trollies driving by and I see the number 12, puddles everywhere, the lights are on, and this is very inspiring. Looks like the kind of thing you would see in New Orleans. What was your inspiration for this painting? I could see and hear them performing with other people who have instruments for bodies and heads. Bravo work and keep making more masterpieces! I hope to see more of your fabulous paintings.

This is fabulous! I could never draw this good even if I tried! Props! The art style is beautiful! The idea is brilliant! This is one of the best things I've ever seen!
10 out of 10! You should quit your day job and do this! Do you know how much skill you have? This is like Mona Lisa level good! This is so original and this should be sold for millions of dollars in a museum! I don't think anyone has ever had an idea of art like this! Even professionals couldn't think like this! This is the best ever! Props to you my dear buddy! Simply Fabulous!

Okay...Oil. OIL.
This is...I am not even sure I can find a term, so I'll just say it's marvebulous, and hope that one's going to be acceptable to the site. Because frankly, it's the only one I can find.
For the Vision, and I know I am probably one of the very few to only give this 4.5, but hear me out. Vision is something that tells me about the thoughts of the painter, and here I can see this thing practically coming to life. To use the words of fobbish art critics everywhere, I feel as if I can see your dreams in this, though it might as well have been something completely else that inspired you. This speaks of romance, passion, art and overall, a love for the canvas - if I am not making much sense, forgive me. I love EVERYTHING in this, with so many small, seemingly unimportant details that others rarely include: The puddles on the tiles, reflections in them, the way the 'woman's legs are so finely carved and done that everything just appears...real. Even the apple on the ground, offering a sense of modern soceity with its tendency to discard things before their usefulness is truly spent.

The only place I have ever seen this kind of scene before is i my own dreams, meaning the 5 stars for originality is an easy choice.

The technique is...well, puh, it's breathtaking. I painted for a few years, just for the liking of it, and if that was any indication, this piece takes monumental skills, not to mention patience and precision. I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must have been to write the detailed letters on the red canvas of 'Limon', whatever that actually is. In the words of Simon: 'That's a big, fat, yes (meaning 5 stars flat)'

The impact, now...I assume - since this is the first time I do this kind of critic - that the impact basically is how the paining impacts me. I'll put it frankly: I. Don't. Know.
I really don't, but at the same time, the beauty and craftsmanship of it brings my mind back years, making me feel things I haven't felt since I stopped painting. I start remembering WHY I started painting, and feel joy that people such as you, people with this kind of precision, patience and talent, are out there, doing this for us.

What can I say that isn't already said? What impacted me the most is the setting. It's stunning how you don't use bright colors and the place looks so ordinary and yet the music allusion makes so extraordinary that you can feel pure emotion without nothing to over impress. The subtle touches of red help add to the mood. The bloodlike traces on the sax/man body and the shot-like hole in the violin plus the fallen apple suggest something eerie and restless that I think characterizes both instruments. The rain and the umbrella also give the idea of music as something that uncovers true self, it's not contained nor hidden. Finally, the complexity of the technique is shadowed behing a simple idea, I think this is what makes it special. Music is on the spotlight without trying to be.

While I am usually not into this kind of art, ive gotta say, this is amazing.
The colors and proportions are perfect considering the use of inanimate objects
as the base. I love the wood patterns on the bodies.
When I first saw this, I thought it was made with pencil, but OIL?
My friend, you have a gift.
What really stands out though are their poses. It seems as if they don't have a care in the world. Just playing to the melody of life.
Overall, this piece is awesome.
Never stop making great art.
Have a nice day.

This is too amazing for words! First off, the shape is amazing in this image. Everything is well-proportioned and the perspective is on point. Where this image really shines, though, is the stunning realism and creativity. From the beautiful wood grain detailing to the amazing instrument folk themselves, this image seeps creativity. The colors aren't harsh on the eyes and the lighting keeps focus on the stars of the show. However, this doesn't mean the background has to be boring, and it isn't! You can see life still going on around these two while they dance, the lights of the city in the background, people just trying to get where they're going. Maybe it's because they don't have anyone to dance in the rain with!

OMFG!
A FRIGGIN OL'FASHION OIL-PAINT.
MAN YOU ARE EITHER JUST A GENIOUS... OR CRAZY.
A ''REAL'' PIECE OF ART...

IT PULLS ON EVERY HEARTSTRING IN THE CHEST AND THE EYES FLUTTERS AROUND LIKE NERVOUS BIRDS JUST TO BE SURE OF GETTING THE CHANCE TO SWALLOW EVERY DETAIL OF THIS LIFE-BEAT.

THIS ABNORMITY OF TRANSFORMATION IS A BEAUTYFULL COMPOSITION ITSELF.
HIS ALMOST VIOLENTLY ADDORATION AND PURSUAING HOLDS GREAT TO HERS DOMESTICATED SURENDERING...

I CAN ONLY APPLAUS YOU FOR ALL THE REMENECE FOR THE DETAILS.
EVEN THE LIFE-ENDED SHADOW OF THE APPLE IS REMEMBERED AND THAT ONE FLASHFULL TEARY EYE ON THE TRAM...

I EVEN FIND IT SO AMUSING THAT THOUG YOU PROTRAIED A GREY AND RAINFULL SCENE YOU ARE CAPABLE OF USING THE FULL PALETTE OF THE RAINBOW TO MAKE YOU IMPRESSION ON MY RETINAL...

I CAN ALMOST HEAR THE MUSIC GROW AND LIVE FROM THIS PAINTING...

I HAVE TO GIVE YOU FULL LINES

CUDOS TO YOU MY FRIEND
THIS IS PERFECTION
YOU ARE TRULY AN ARTIST AMONG US

Wow.
Just wow.
This...this looks like something that you would see in an art gallery. It is very unique in the fact that the dancers are instruments, perhaps even strange.
But it is the perfect dose of strange. It's not too strange, yet not too normal or cliche.
The darker colors really give the effect of a rainy day. The rain and lights stand out and the water looks reflective. The sky looks perfect, like an actually grey and rainy sky. Oh, and the details, the details.
The signs for the shops. The apple. The crowd of people.
It's really very beautiful.

This painting is like a good movie: you find something new everytime you watch it. Like others have said, there is so much detail it takes a long time to really see everything here, even though this painting is powerful enough even at a first glance.

The mood in the painting is very strong. I can almost hear the rain and the city life, and smell the wet wood of the violin woman; I can feel the wet pavement beneath my feet... It's hard to say what exactly makes this picture so vivid, but the soft colors, many details and blurry grayness of the rain at least create a very unique atmosphere for the wonderful characters to dance in.

I personally like the familiarity of this piece. It is surreal, yes, but with elements so common it is more interesting than alienating. To me surrealism usually means something absurd and posh, but this is simple, beautiful and very intriguing instead. This kind of art can be easily appreciated by connoiseurs and the common folk (like me)! Excellent work, and I feel honored to get to give this critique to you e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sโ€ฆ " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

First of all: HOLY COW!! Oil?!

You've done something marvelous, taking inanimate objects and animating them into such a familiar emotional and dynamic movement e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/hโ€ฆ " width="15" height="13" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="357" title="Heart"/>
You put SO much detail into everything, water on the pavement, the ripped stockings, the carve in the wood, signs in the background, and even though the people in the BG are merely silhouettes, you didn't forget about their shadows/reflections!
I adore the one dash of red light on the trolley, I get an even more dramatic flare~
The exaggeration with the body language for the instruments are phenomenal as well! I also love how you used all different colors in this illustration, reds, blues, slight hues of violet and yellow, and even hints of light green.
You've made something fantastic, and I can FEEL the tone you've portrayed here.

5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD MY FRIEND. Applause you \(>,<)/
