It is a part of the same family of mushrooms, but actually the amanita phalloides is the death cap mushroom.

It is poisonous though as most(if not all, I'm unsure) Amanita mushrooms are.

About ten people die a tear from this mushroom because they eat the whole mushroom at once, and way to many. It's not that deadly and used in shamanism by some.

I eat it one every day, just love to dry and do some tea, or smoke it.. or have some in your ears...

well they are members of the same family,but there has not
been one death recorded from use of this mushroom.
by use i mean its narcotic,inebreant,hallucinogenic purpose
in soma rights or recreation.

Like most natural highs found in the pacific northwest; not readily available

The act of consuming enough hero-custy type mushies such as these to cause
one to die of adverse effects (NOT NEUROTOXICITY) is a fait worse than death
in itself.And it is a very close relative to the death cap,destroying angel,ect
but the latter WILL kill you (VIA NEUROTOXICITY) were as; GOOD BLOOM`N
