Contest entry for Eraili , her beautiful chara Bellatrix

I decided to try mixed media and failed miserabily I thought that digital coloring over watercolors in Photoshop would be easier. Well, we're learning all the time. But animating watercolor isn't the easiest thing in the world.
Also taking a photo (because my scanner doesn't like watercolors) in bad light isn't very wise, the background looked like it's dirty. So what to do? Let's play with blending options... and I accidentaly created galaxy I tried to add more stars in the background to make it more clear that's a galaxy, but it was just too much of everything. And as you may know, less is more.

So Bellatrix, being like "my sparkles are better than you" decided to take a flight to the stars, only to make sure that she's the brightest of them all

before the color inversion, original painting. I like the dark version more

Background and main colors, as well as basic layer of shading are made traditionally with watercolors, highlights and shining stars are added in Photoshop.

Wait, there is no "mixed media" category for animations?!
