Hello! I'm part of the Critique Squad at This is a very beautiful portrait and I love the subtle detail on the hair and skin. And I think the processing works very well for this image. It's soft and introspective. I think the eyes could be a bit sharper and it would have more impact if she were either looking toward you or straight ahead. Overall a wonderful portrait!

Have come across your images as part of the Portraitclub critique pool. It stands out boldly against the other images for a number of reasons; It's use of black and white with the strong left/right diagonal as well as the off-camera eyes. It is full of emotion and yet void at the same time. The skin treatment as well as the light areas in the lower right and top are a bit distracting and are what is keeping this image from being outstanding. Overall I find it a wonderful piece of work that anyone would be proud to have created! Well done. Do more!

Thank you very much! About the skin treatment, I wanted to create some sort of porcelain feel, but maybe I got a little over the top. About the light areas, I'm fixing them with PS right now

Porcelain is tough to achieve correctly. Done right it looks great. But I don't really think it needs it. the image is so strong simply from your use of crop and angle and that wonderful expression.
