THE BATTLE VAULT
The Battle Vault is a hi-tech fort carved into the rocks around the frontier. It is home to the Tenjoh region's most comprehensive collection of competitive Pokemon. It's primarily a research facility, where all the battles are closely monitored for analysis. The vault aims to test the player's knowledge, and only rental Pokemon are used within the Vault. Upon each win, the player has the option to exchange some of their current rentals with the previous foe.

Upon winning 20 and 50 consecutive battles in standard and super modes respectively, the player will battle the Vault Curator Brian, who uses completely random rental Pokemon.

Brian has a comprehensive knowledge of the thousands of Pokemon who reside in the Battle Vault. Brian has never caught a Pokemon for himself, and originally was just another patron of the Vault where he loved being able to finally partake in Pokemon battles. Brian caught the attention of the researchers for being the most dedicated patron, and eventually he was offered the role of Curator due to his unparalleled knowledge of all the Pokemon that were given out for rentals. It's due to this knowledge that Brian is notoriously difficult to defeat, as he knows all the moves, strengths and weaknesses of his opponents' rentals.
