I played Conan before by THQ. I might have to consider playing it myself.

I'm not sure what that game was like but this one could easily have stood alone without the Conan branding, I think.

Unfortunately, that game was not so good. It sold poorly and depicted him using some magic from his armor. One thing that I really hated was the final boss fight. The combat systems good, but it took time to get used to.

I think Conan Exiles will be more your speed. There's really not a magic system that I can find. You can craft various orbs that can be thrown like a gas orb that poisons enemies inside it but no magic. You can make warpaint and armor that grant certain bonuses but no magic.

I may get it next month. I saw it at GameStop, but hesitated because of a fear it being mainly online. I will look more into it be making my final decision.

Don't be fooled. It is 100% online optional. You can start a singleplayer/coop server and play that way without any hassle. It's what i've done. I actually wish more games did that. Make it multiplayer optional, where you can play the full game without the annoyance of other people, get your feet nice and wet, and if you feel like playing with other people later on, you can. It also guarantees the game's replayability as once the online servers go down, you aren't stuck with a $40 brick since you can still play it offline.

Alright, you've convinced me. Should be fun. Any advice about the game?

Avoid exile camps. When you first spawn, you'll be in a desert. Traveling north will bring you to a river. There are numerous camps of fellow exiles (NPCs) who can and will likely defeat you if you get caught up in a fight with them. The way to avoid them is to look for bonfires. They tend to spawn/congrigate around them (two or three at a time) so avoid them. Also avoid the riverbank to a lesser extent as crocodiles can spawn there as well and they will go after you. There's a bunch of large turtle-like monsters around called Shalebacks that, most of them, are non-aggressive (they only fight back when attacked, otherwise they leave you alone). Only the red shelled shalebacks are aggressive. The rest of them are passive. There's also a bunch of strange abominations called Imps. They're pushovers but not to be underestimated.

Got it. By the way, I am almost finished with my story. I might reference your story with my character doing something for yours. Is that no problem?

Good. Just needed to hear your say-so. Better to ask permission than to beg forgiveness.

Hey, I don't know if you gotten my reply about Disney's direction with Star Wars. Let me rephrase in a different way about this whole fiasco. Don't make the Star Wars fanfiction for the company, they made their choice. We, on the other hand, can do our Fanfiction for pleasing, not only the fans, but also the Lord. He gave you this talent don't let it go to waste. As stated before, whatever you decide, I am with you, my friend.
