This image is to help explain the state of affairs in my Star Wars fanfiction series, Star Wars: The House of Rook and is not to be considered canon outside of that universe.

Giordo Rook's Mandalorian Armor
Rank:
Field Marshall
This Beskar Armor is the armor worn by Giordo Rook, the head of House Rook. The armor has evolved significantly over the course of Giordo's life. The armor originally started out simplistically enough as a fairly standard suit of armor but over the years was modified and improved to feature new or different components.
Giordo first earned his armor, like most Mandalorians, at the age of thirteen when he completed his Verd'goten, His rite of passage into adulthood. Giordo would join up with Gra'tua Squadron, an elite Mandalorian Mercenary Force for hire and would work his way up the ranks, reaching the rank of Captain by 22 BBY. Over the course of the Clone Wars and Gra'tua Squadron's involvement in the conflict, Giordo would reach the rank of Rally Master. After the Clone Wars, Giordo would spend some of his time improving his armor, adding parts to better represent his status as the Head of House Rook. This also would come with a promotion to Field Marshall after his friend and commander, Cyril Glebbins, the former founder and leader of Gra'tua Squadron stepped down from his role, handing the post to Giordo.
Giordo's armor may look decorative and somewhat flamboyant from an outsider's perspective but it is all fully functional and representative of his rank and authority. The more gold colored parts, to some, may appear flimsy but are pure beskar like the rest of his armor. His helmet used to have the the swiveling rangefinder on the right eye but that was removed after it was damaged during a mission. The rangefinder was later integrated into his helmet's hardware, allowing him to use it without the external swivel stalk common to most Mandalorian helmets.
In terms of armament, Giordo prefers a WESTAR-M5 Blaster Rifle that he acquired after a lengthy battle with an ARC Trooper during the Clone Wars, emerging the victor and taking the rifle as a prize. He carries a WESTAR-35 Blaster Pistol as a sidearm. He also carries the standard armaments for a Mandalorian, namely a flamethrower and whipchord launcher. He also has built in blasters on his gauntlets as well. He's also fit his knee-pads with rocket dart launchers which function as a variant of an iconic Mandalorian Crowd Control weapon known as the Whistling Birds, firing only one to four rocket darts as opposed to a small swarm.
The cape he wears around his right side is made of a cheap fabric and is designed mostly as a temporary symbol of his status. It's meant to be discarded or used as a means of distracting an enemy when entering combat. His kama on the other hand is the only more decorative piece that he keeps on at all times as a symbol of his rank and authority.
His armor color, blue, symbolizes reliability.
