Description This is one of my bridge officers from Star Trek Online. This however is a species bio.

Name: Uruni
Species: Bonari
Homeworld: B.C.V. Umaggin (Bonari City Ship)
Position: Nurse/Passenger on the U.S.S. Corbulo
Biography: Like most of her kind, Uruni was born and raised on one of the massive city ships her people live in. She received an extensive education in medicine, to serve as a doctor or nurse, whichever her client needed. At the age of 13 (the Bonari biological equivalent to the human age of 18) Uruni was put on the Labor Trade Market and hired to serve as a doctor on board of a small freighter of assorted Beta Quadrant species. Unfortunately she was abused by the crew and used more as a comfort woman by the ship's Captain. The freighter was later attacked by pirates who killed the crew and intended to take Uruni with them but the freighter's distress call was answered by the U.S.S. Corbulo. Uruni managed to get a message to the Corbulo and convinced them that the pirates weren't the actual owners of the vessel. The pirates tried to fight but were easily overpowered by the Sovereign Class vessel. As the last survivor of the freighter, Uruni was technically free of her charge and brought aboard the Corbulo. Impressed with Starfleet's medical technology, she asked to be allowed to remain with the Corbulo and serve as a medical assistant for the ship's doctor. Her request was granted.

Species Information: The Bonari are an amphibious race found deep within the Beta Quadrant. Centuries ago, the Bonari constructed massive 10 Kilometer long city ships to transport half of their civilization away from their homeworld in order to explore the universe. It's unknown how many of these ships exist but they rarely pose a threat except to those who seek them harm. The Bonari culture is one of curiosity and exploration. Similar to the Federation, they are peaceful explorers only they go about learning about alien cultures quite differently. It's not enough for them to simply sift through a cultural database or to read ancient texts. To the Bonari, to learn a culture, is to integrate into it. To do this, the Bonari sell their services to passing starships. Need an engineer? They have several. Need phaser emitters calibrated? They can do it. Want a comfort woman? Yeah they have those too (just be open about it, and don't hire a female from a different trade for the job). It should be noted that the Bonari do practice a form of slavery but it's always voluntary. They never force anyone into servitude. The Bonari are always happy to discuss their culture with other species too, viewing the mutual exchange of cultural knowledge as a fair trade.

The only drawback to the Bonari is a regular need for hydration that must be satisfied. Having evolved from a marine mammal, they possess gills. While they can breathe air just fine through their nasal cavities and mouth just fine, they can filter oxygen from water through their gills much easier. As such they usually wear specially constructed hydration packs on their necks and back. These packs contain tanks of water that allow water to flow around their gills through a collar around their necks, right where their gills are. They can go for a little over 30 hours without water but after that they'll need to rehydrate or run the risk of dying from dehydration. They also tend to sleep within large tanks of filtered water.
