Description
Clematis Napaulensis. A clematis that grows in reverse. It sleeps in summer, shedding it's leaves, then wakes up in autumn, starting to grow green leaves before flowering with delicate cream bell like flowers with plum coloured stamens all through winter. I like it because it comes to life when most garden plants are going to sleep to prove that nature doesn't follow one set rule, but likes to surprise from time to time. Winter can look like summer sometimes on a sunny day when clematis Napaulensis is in bloom.
