Miyu,
Excellent tutorial and excellent idea.
I have taken some metal working classes several years ago and this is a truly innovative idea.

Oh! cool!! In two weeks I travel to Scotland. I hope to find a beautiful and cheap kilt, he he.
I also have some family inheritances, for example, an authentic sable from Toledo and a old Spanish knife.

Lol. My clan (MacInnes, with many spelling variations) is one of the harder ones to track down. Go for a common tartan, and make sure it says 100% wool. Also, invest in a brooch to match, if possible - mine has my clan's crest, which is not only symbolic, but also awesome-looking (it has a WOLF! With ARROWS!!)
Look for thistle jewelry, too - it's completely awesome!
This is just my (extensive) shopping experience - feel free to ignore it and have fun on your trip!

it is really well done~

Thanks!! ^^
Doll sized?? Well.... yes, but it could be quite difficult due to the small size. He he, a small brooch for dolls, cute!! Good idea! ^__^

Nicely done.
I'd point out to people going Oirish on this, that the broach here is of a Pictish/Cymbraig design (Roman Scotland/Northern England/Wales/Cornwall). If people are looking for the Irish style, rather than a penannular, it would be an annular broach (the ring wouldn't be broken, instead there'd be a dip in the large finnial rather than two separate finials).
Sorry, I'm an Irish Dark Age archaeologist living in Scotland...

yup.
I was just making it clear to those who popped by (the number of people who make these noticable errors is amazing)...
The joy is using a full size one to fasten a fileadh mhor (big knot, or plaid). After spending hours pleating the cloth and fastening it around one's waist, standing up to let the fabric drop, fastening yet another belt around it and then drawing the fabric over the shoulder of the arm you don't wield your sword in, forcing the pin through the fabric from behind, pulling the fabric from the front through the loop of the brooch and over the shoulder, you fold it down and, with a bit of a heft, slip the pin through the space and twist to the loop to the side to fasten.
With the amount of fabric involved you suddenly realise why there's a space...
