I look at this, and I see Alan Rickman. I approve.

"Hrm. Your attempt at "fod" was adequet at best. Please, P, B and J?! I think I deserve a little better don't you? I have on some sort of orange-bronze type bikini briefs, as it would seem. Do you really want to get on my bad side, here?"
Love the pic. Awesome x2.

So when you talk about cliches you despise people who use the style manga, even for their own input of fantasy? You find style and design most important?

I was only talking about the "props" Magus is carrying around, which is nothing innovating... but manga IS clichéd nowadays. It's used everywhere and for everything. I'm not saying it's bad though, and I'm not despising anyone. I used to draw really generic manga so I don't really have any excuses.
I'm losing you in your second question. I find style and design more important than what?

I just wondered, the above comment was enough to answer, I'm just glad you don't despise fellow artists or amateurs, and you are right about manga being cliched alot, but what isn't cliched anymore these days? I watched you from the beginning and I saw your style grow, it's very lovely. I wondered if you as a person stayed the same too, some people who started with anime and developed their own style despise manga afterwards, I wondered if that was the same with you, and luckily it wasn't.

I'm not gonna be "harsh" 'cause I don't need to.
I think your manga style is very "generic"---which means I would probably not recognize your art among others (but I'm saying that as I don't know your art very much and I'm not the best reference, either). Having said that, however, I do recognize you have a lot of talent (for example in this [link] ). You can vary from typical anime to very realistic anthros, which is a cool asset. AND... you're still very young. Not a lot younger than me, but still enough to build a significant difference.
What makes your style less personal is the fact that all that builds your characters' faces is deja-vu. The eyes that aren't fully closed, the noses barely defined, and the mouth split in the middle. Changing only one aspect of these can make a huge difference. You don't have to obey to every manga rule there is.
If I were you, I'd want to be more unique. That doesn't necessarily mean to quit drawing manga either, you can keep doing it for all I care, but there's a way to step a little bit away from it. I think the clue to this is to incorporate things you like in your manga style. Try doing (for example) Disney-like eyes to a manga face. Poof! The difference it makes is amazing. The best example I can show you for this is *yamiza . If you don't know her (you probably do), go check her gallery. Start with the oldest stuff, and check out the latest ones. In a small, very discreet kinda way, she's doing the same thing she used to do. She only called it her own. She modified the eyes, the noses, the mouths of typical animes, got inspired by Disney (among other things) and now she kicks major ass.
I'm not saying you should change your art, either. You'll do it by yourself over time anyway. the trick is just to keep drawing. You have a lot of potential, I'm sure you'll do fine.
