WEEEEEE I just spent five hours straight on the colouring for this baby after a full day of school. I NEED SLEEP FGHJRUJGHGRKJFor my final storyboard assignment... we had to do a mock-up shot of the film we pretend we're doing (that's a lot of pretending in the same sentence). I'm pretty proud of how it ended up. It's a shame the character is not as textured as the background, but in a film context it wouldn't have worked otherwise.
Storyboard will follow up soon enough, stay tuned.

I actually enjoy the contrast between the characters and the background. In fact, I loved it as a stand-alone piece of art, even before I read that it was a storyboard mock-up.

I think its not the horizantal lines that are distracting so much as the fact that they go across the whole image. Offsetting the texture on different objects might help.
And by the way, with the magic of digital compiling you CAN texture the character. I am in the film I'm working on next...I hope ^__^
