Here's a drawing I forgot to post. These elves are Ophelia and Irene. They are from the anime Claymore. They are also two of my favorite characters in the series.It was about time I posted something with clothes on, lol. The drawing is pretty simple really, but I wasn't going to let it rot in my scraps folder.

Claymore clothing is similar to the naked body, so I would do both versions (clothed and nude). And yes, this drawing is around three years old. That's a lot of time I've been getting better at this.

I remember an author comment sidebar or something from the manga, which said that the pointy ears are a mutation that sometimes happens to people who go through the process of becoming Claymores.

Now that you mention it, I've always been curious about the races in Claymore. Did they originally had pointy ears or did the ears become like that after becoming a claymore?

They are half Yoma thus the reason they have powers and can change and if lose control become awakened, that said they do not have pointy ears when not using there Yoma powers. Look at all other enemy Yoma they have pointy ears humans do not.
Not sure what a Yoma is tho, is it a monster or maybe a demon?

Yoma are human creations according to the manga. they were created to test the Claymores in battle. The idea is to create a weapon that can fight some dragon-like monsters in some land that hasn't been shown yet. This is the place where the founders of the Claymores come from.

Interesting, tho what about the Yoma they hunt?
They are not all Claymore's some maybe awakened forms but not all of them some are just a natural existence.

Ah don't worry, I love talking about Claymore, lol.
So yeah, all those wild weak yoma are also biological creations made by the same people that train the Claymores. The awakened beings however, are originally humans that turn into a hybrid.
Big spoiler alert:
once the Claymores find out that their own masters brought the yoma to the world, Miria kills one of the main founders. This guy explains to Miria about the dragon-ish creatures that they are fighting. It is from these creatures that they make the yoma... PLOT TWIST
