This unnerves me, but not in a bad way at all!  While I do love cute drawings of mothman, there's a sad amount of actual... lifelike (? not the right term, I don't think, but maybe more what mothman would look like?  I guess?) drawings.  It's easy to forget that an irl mothman would be beyond terrifying.

Well, as someone who thinks owls are cute, I think this version is cute anyway!

Anything larger than the Little Owl is scary to me lmao

I don’t know what it is about this design, but I absolutely love it!
There’s this sense of eeriness and otherworldliness about it despite looking very plausible and like something that could easily exist on Earth

I personally think Mothman actually is some kind of giant owl. Either that or the actual cause of his sightings was an owl.

iirc, Joe Nickell did some excellent work on looking at barred owls and Mothman.

It’s not really my point to make. The awesome YouTuber Trey the Explainer goes into more detail about it here: m.youtube.com/watch?v=6w07gBHb… and here m.youtube.com/watch?v=y2W7WLQT…
