Description
The Tentacled Forest – 200 million years hence
The largest of the Flish is the Codcrane, a creature as much at home on the ground as in the air. With a wingspan of up to 4.5 meters, they soar from place to place, sometimes over great distances, in search of food. They usually hunt by loping slowly over the ground, gleaning the vegetation in search of small and mid-sized invertebrates which they snatch with their long protrusile jaws. The wings and hind-fins are well adapted to bear weight on the ground, and the Codcrane can even launch into the air from the ground.
